DESCRIPTION:Room: CA101\nTrack: Open ecosystem\nSession Description\nIn 2012 following an #OER Conference and realising that there would be no Scottish voice at the Paris discussions on  UNESCO's commitment to Open Education and Open Educational Resources we founded Open Scotland and drafted the Open Scotland Declaration . That tale has been told many times and the Declaration has been adopted and re-purposed in a number of other countries . But what is happening now Scotland . The session will focus on green shoots of change across Education and public sector\;  highlighting on-going work in University sector \, the opening up of content in the College and Schools sector through adoption of different platforms\, and how the work and spilled across into both 3rd sector and professional learning . The session will finally consider what next for  Open Scotland and its place and influence alongside global developments.\n\nSession content\nA brief thumb nail sketch of creation \, impact and  lobbying activities of Open Scotland - a broader landscape picture of open practice across Educational sectors in Scotland and within public bodies - and some musings on what action needs taken next in Scotland and UK .\n\nReferences\nOpen.edu.
